Only the second example of we've ever seen of this! There are small factory holes on the side - perhaps one was meant to add their own string for a chin strap? Pretty nice condtion with little wear/aging.

Listing is for a Lost in Space 1966 Remco Helmet Hostess Advertising Premium.

Helmet is made out of blue hard plastic with paper decals. 8" high from bottom of ear cover 8 1/2" across at widest part. When we saw this initially, we thought "hey, they stole the Remco Lost in Space helmet mold!" - but then it occurred to us - with the history of Remco and their penchant for repurposing things (see their Land of the Giants sled with Mike Mercury from Supercar piloting it for a prime example of this!) - perhaps, Remco took the mold AFTER Hostess used it? No way to know really. We've searched and searched and cannot locate the premium that this was associated with. Let us know if you know! Here's a reference only comparison picture!
