Appears unused! Decal is non-transparent - we NEVER buy repro anything - but it came to us as it is. We know the transparent background logo is genuine - not sure if Hasbro released the decal both ways? Includes all paper work. Tought to find. NOTE: The ''black/brown" dye used in the plastic for the bodies causes them to become VERY VERY brittle after 50 years. This one DOES have a repaired arm. But we would recommend NEVER undressing him. Also, we CANNOT CANNOT be held responsible for any damage during shipping. We'll pack as carefully as possible. But be prepared to use some super glue or epoxy if needed.

Listing is for a GI Joe 1974 Adventure Team #7283 MIB Adventurer African American Kung Fu Grip.

As the 60's neared its end, America became more and more involved in a war abroad that was, to say the least, a bit unpopular with much of the American public.  To de-emphasize the military theme of the G.I. Joe line, Hasbro began reinventing G.I. Joe as an action adventurer.  As Joe moved into the 70's, his initial introduction had him still appearing in military style generic clothing but his accessories dealt with fighting wild animals, spying, among other "adventure" style activities.  Furthermore, Joe now sported a hair style that was more "life like" than just a painted head!  Adding to the 70's allure, Joe also now sported "Kung Fu Grip" hands!  This is one of the last boxed 12" figure in the original line to hit the store shelves (the next year would see carded versions).  This is the 1974 African American version - SCARCE!!  Interestingly, Joe no longer has a dog tag!!  Here's what was included with this set:
