Nice built up - came to us built and in this box. We originally thought it was a factory built up - the box is definitely vintage and the built up looks great. But we've been informed it's not. Up to you to decide - selling it as-is, as it came to us and as you see it.

Hobby shops of the day had the option to purchase model kits that were
pre-assembled and painted from the factory - these they could display in
cabinets and store windows so that the buying public had a 'real'
representation of what the finished model would look like. These are
pretty scarce in nature - not all stores ordered them - and if they did -
wouldn't have needed to order more than one. Combine that with the fact
that most were tossed out after the assembly kit was no longer available,
makes these pretty scarce.
This one is of Aurora's version of the P-38. Fully assembled and painted
as it came from the Aurora factory. In incredibly scarce hard-to-find
shipping box!
