Here it is...an Aurora Model Kit Ship 1958 Buccaneer Pirate Built Up plus box - from
the minds of Aurora!
Unlike Aurora's Viking themed kits, this kit is an officially licensed
move tie - in. The Buccaneer was a 1958 pirate film made by Paramount
Pictures starring Yul Brynner as Jean Lafitte, with Charles Boyer as
Dominique You, Inger Stevens as Annette Claiborne, Claire Bloom as Bonnie
Brown and the acting titan of his day, Charlton Heston, as Andrew Jackson.
The movie is pure Hollywood history with almost no historical accuracy.
This kit also is a cheat as it's a reissue of Aurora's
Black Falcon, released a few years earlier. The kit is accurate to
neither the movie nor history! It is a cool piece of Aurora history,
though.
