Original Popy Ideal Toys 1973 Evel Knievel, "Challenge Machine",
Japan only. Box measures 9" wide x 13 3/4" tall x
4 " deep. This foreign box
is copyrighted 1973 "Made under license by
Ideal Toy Corp". Unlike the European version, the Japanese version has
little in common with it's American cousin - other than the logo and concept
(figure is same style but comes in at only 5"). The
energizer and cycle are same in concept. The set includes a nice
pole-vaulting style bar and ramp for Evel to jump over or, alternatively, grab
with a hook and spin around while his motorcycle presumably careens off into the
crowd! The box has a cool picture scene of Evel jumping over a long row of
buses! Box measures 9 7/8" W x 14 1/4" T x 6 1/4" D.
