James Bond 1965 Gilbert Figure 007
12" MIB Red Trunks Orange Fins Connery
Listing is for a James Bond 1965 Gilbert Figure 007 12" MIB Red Trunks
Orange Fins Connery.
Back in the 1960s, James Bond hit the big screen in all its glory! Being
the success that it was, the Bond franchise spawned a great line of
toys!!! This 12" Sean Connery, James Bond, figure was produced in
1965 by Gilbert. The box has a great likeness of Sean Connery. The figure
was very cheaply made (and how!) and, therefore, hard to find in nice
shape. The set included mask, shirt, fins, bathing trunks, and snorkel
(all would have variations in color). It also came with a
cap firing pistol, instructions and gun adapter (often missing).
NOTE: Glibert didn't do the best job with the dolls in terms of quality
(they were near the end of their life as a company and were taking lots of
short cuts). The arm mechanism was a simple spring - expect them not to
work. The shirts were made to small and usually have tiny seam tears
near the head opening as they tear when pulled over heads to be put
on. And the fins were too small and often crack on their feet.
