The DC Comics Super Hero Collection was a magazine collection by Eaglemoss Publications, and DC Comics, launched on the 15th of March 2008 in the United Kingdom. The series was inspired by the success of The Classic Marvel Super Hero Figurine Collection which had started 3 years earlier. The two "competing" comic universe figures would run simultaneously for a number of years. Each informational magazine featured a single DC super hero's history - and was accompanied by a hand painted, roughly 3 1/2" tall, lead figure of said character. "Special" editions would be created to accommodate the "larger" DC characters. The collection consisted of two regular issues a month, with a special issue released every two months, to accommodate the larger characters in the DC Universe. The series also spawned a sub-series called "The Blackest Night/Brightest Day" collection, featuring characters from the various lantern corps from the DC Universe. The same format and figures were released in other English speaking countries - as well as some Spanish speaking ones (the accompanying magazine was translated into Spanish).  The magazine series officially ended on November 2012, with 120 issues in the main series, nineteen specials, and sixteen issues in The Blackest Night/Brightest Day sub series.

Note: the comics and figures were sent via standard snail mail - while the figures were generally well protected in cardboard boxes with clear acetate "formed" bubbles/covers - the magazines were merely placed into plastic bags - with most (all?) suffering typical mail transportation and aging wear. Note while our figures and magazines will ship with their original boxes (unless otherwise described in the listing), the original outer plastic "baggie" will not be included. Example of one of the boxed figures follows below:
