Not sure why it was bagged - perhaps to keep the hair nice during transit within the company? In 1964, Beatles was the range and nearly anything you could think of had a licensed Beatles version. The doll set put out by Remco/Nems in 1964 was a top draw. Not sure why, but they were sold individually. There were two versions of bodies - a hard plastic body and a squeezably soft body.

It is easy to see why this set is a favorite among Beatles collectors!!!
