This came to us via an estate auction - with nothing accompanying it. But after extensive research and assistance from "Chris", we believe it's a set used prop from the NBC TV Show Heroes. In nice shape - no COA present, though. Buying as-is, as you see it, with no guarantees..

Tim Sale Umbrella Pair
Actual screen-used prop from the TV Series HEROES (2006 -
2010). Prop was used in Isaac Mendez' art studio and was taken from an
original piece of artwork that Tim Sale drew. Prop is a print that was put
on canvas and attached to a frame - then paint was added to the artwork
and unto the edges to make it appear to be an original painting. That way
Tim Sale could keep his original artwork which was also used in the pages
of issues of 9th Wonders. The studio wouldn't use the actual
original artwork for several reasons - 1) the painting had to be
duplicated for a different scene 2) to eliminate any issues arising from
possible damage 3) artwork was, occasionally, as seen on screen, painted
over by Isaac to appear like he was painting it 4) it was splashed with
paint or blood. The paintings were sold along with other props and
costumes during the official studio HEROES auctions held by an NBC
affiliated auction company in 2011 - shortly after the series ended.
Measures roughly 18" x 18".
