Batman 1966 Space Magic Coins Lot Trading Card Style
In 1966, it seems like everything and anything that could be, was, indeed,
marketed with a Batman tie-in. Space Magic licensed the Batman images with
images that seem derived from the Topps Batman cards. The "coins" are
approximately 1 1/2" with raised rims and marked "COPYRIGHT 1966 NATIONAL PERIODICALS
PUBLICATIONS INC" and have a brief anecdote of the particular
character/scene on the rear. The manufacturing process/style of the coins
makes them extremely susceptible to corrosion...it is incredibly difficult to
find them without some form of corrosion. We have not been able to locate any information on exactly how these were marketed. If you do, please drop us a line.
