With the home grown popularity of GI Joe, Hasbro had a great
licensing opportunity on it’s hands. And they took advantage of it. They
licensed the name and idea - and provided much of the equipment - to
different toy companies in different countries throughout the world.
Initially, in some countries, there was little differentiation in the line
to their American cousin other than the name. But in some countries
the figures were vastly different even in the onset - while other countries
expanded the line to suit their own sensibilities - and even continued the
line long past the time Hasbro USA had cancelled it.
This is an all original GI Joe 1964 1971 Takara New GI Joe #7801 Combat
Soldier Uniform MOC! The set included:
Fatigue Shirt, olive drab with two pockets
Fatigue Pants, olive drab
Combat Helmet
Hand Grenades, x4
Ammo Belt
Boots, Rubber - brown (same molds as the very 1st issue rubber Hasbro boots -
but “thinner”, almost translucent).
