Yogi Bear debuted in 1961 after being a part of the Huckleberry Hound show.  Named after popular New York Yankees catcher Yogi Berra - yet sounding suspiciously like 'Ed Norton' on the Honeymooners (eh, eh, Ralphie...err...Boo Boo).  Yogi's partner shorts included Yacky Doodle (with his pal and protector Chopper the dog) and, of course, Snagglepuss ("Exit.  Stage Left").
