Fireball XL5 Gerry Anderson 1964 Space City Multiple Products MPC Marx

MPC - No. 3300 íSteve Zodiacís Fireball XL5 Space City'

Gerry Anderson really knew how to create a kidís show!  We loved Fireball XL5 - of course, weíve always been fans of science fiction.  The "super marionette" process may seem a bit primitive to todayís standards but it still holds a unique charm.  This is a rather difficult play set to find - itís based upon Gerry Andersonís 3rd marionette TV Series. Fireball XL5.  The set came in a large, 3 color box with cool graphics on the lid.  Here, to the best of our ability, is a contents list of what the set originally came with (©1964 Independent Television Corp.).

Item Condition (Specific)

COMPLETE - to the best of our ability. We couldn't locate a contents checklist anywhere on the net - but we derived one from auction listings, the box, and the instructions sheet. But we are not experts - please use the abundant amount of pictures to aid in your decision. Some things to note: the door hinges are broken on the large rocket. The hinges are primitive and the doors are made of a plastic that gets brittle with age - it appears to be an incredibly common ailment. The nose to the large XL5 has been cracked and glue repaired - the overhead door doesn't open and close very easily. The instructons are aged with tiny tears here and there. The inserts are nice - with a few tears (but how often does one see original inserts!!??). Sounds like a lot - but not considering how much is here - and the fact we went a little overboard just to be thorough. A nice additon to any collection. 100% ORIGINAL
