All Original, 1950's Marx Linemar (AKA Line Mar) mechanical "Donald Duck - Climbing Fireman" - NOT to be confused with the generic Mike Mallard version!  This is a climbing fireman tin litho windup toy.  This toy and box are original. When wound and activated, Donald climbs up the ladder. The base of the toy measures approximately 5.75" x 3.5" x 14" high. Mike measures 5" tall.   To spare an expense - royalty rights to use the Disney characters have always been expensive - Liinemar released the toy in Disney and non-Disney versions.  The base has colorful cartoon graphics with many of the Disney characters including Mickey Mouse & Goofy putting out a fire, Minnie Mouse as a nurse and Donald's three nephews rescuing Daisy Duck and Figaro.  Here is a side by side comparison for your enjoyment:
