An Italian company called Anri has produced some of the most beautiful hand carved, hand painted music boxes every produced!  Anri's attention to detail and subtle color shading bring true life to these music boxes.  Some of the most exciting and sought after were the Peanuts series and the even harder to find Disney series.

"Made in Italy by Anri" and a date were originally carved into the bottoms of all the music boxes (the Disney series do not have dates).  A foil or paper tag also indicated what song the music box played.  These tags easily came off and are often missing.

The "mini" music boxes are a bit harder to come by.  This mini music box features the quarrelsome duo of Charlie & Lucy standing under a tree..   Measures just under 5" tall and about 3-1/2" across.  Marked "United Features Syndicate 1972" and "Made in Italy by Anri" on the bottom.  Plays "Rose Garden".
