Warner Bros 1940s Pig Porky Compo Bank RARE

Item History (General)[Show/Hide]

Porky Pig - Compo Bank, Circa 1940's.

This is a Porky Pig bank made out of a very light and fragile composition material. Probably meant as a 'throw away' trinket, it is amazing it still exists some 60 years later. He stands about 6 1/2" tall.  Although created as a star of the studio, Porky has become most familiar in the role of sidekick and "everyman".  And who could ever forget his trademark stutter and his attempt to say 'Bye' at the end of nearly every Warner Bros cartoon in the 40's and 50's - "b.b.b.b.b.b.b....that's all, folks!"

Item Condition (Specific)

Very nice displayable shape. However, there are some condition issues.  Porky has some indenting and a large crack to his right ear.  Also, the paint has chipped off an area smaller than a dime - near the coin slot.  Stopper is also missing.  Although not mint, this is the ONLY one we've ever seen!!  And still displays nicely.
