MIB 7800 Action Pilot
The original GI Joe action figure was marketed as an action figure in
basic military fatigues purchased in a 2 part style box - accompanying him were
various military outfits one could purchase separately to dress him in. This
is one of the four military branches that were represent - the American Pilot-
or as Hasbro put it: G.I. Joe Action Pilot. Of the four branches, the
pilot is easily the scarcest and most difficult to come by today. It came
in a 2 part box and included the following:
- Pilot Jumpsuit (Tagged "G.I. JOE T.M.
HASBRO JAPAN®")
- Combat Boots, Tall Black
- Dog Tag
- Pilot Cap, Blue (Incised "G.I. JOE T.M.
HASBRO® MADE IN THE U.S.A.")
- Air Force Insignias
- Division Insignias
- Air Force Field Manual (Thin Style - manuals that came on cards were about a
1/2 thicker and did not fit inside the box)

Box is C8.5/C9 or so. Other than crunching/wear in upper right corner, nothing major to note - just the general wear marks typical on the yellow pilot box. NO splits nor repairs to box anywhere. Figure is C9++++. Retains 99% + of paint on rivets. Joints all extremely tight. Exhibits absolutely no play usuage. Scarce red torso chest, beefy hands. Instructions are early typed.
Dog tag is C9+ on 'bead' chain.
RARE air force decals are present as well as the small division decals.
Manual is as new.
Included extras: " Join the G.I. Joe Club" brochure; equipment brochure.
Ensemble truly appears very close to 'old store stock'. |
